When Cycle 17 of America’s Next Top Model makes a comeback on The CW this fall, the show reunites its first-ever All-Star cast featuring fourteen contestants from previous seasons competing for the grand prize. Mnet, the 24/7 English-language network showcasing Asian pop culture is casting for an English-speaking K-pop VJ to host a new daily two-hour K-pop television series debuting on the network this fall. The national search invites all K-pop fans to apply. No prior television experience is needed though candidates should have loads of energy and personality-plus and also have a large knowledge of everything K-pop. Applicants can upload audition videos via YouTube and send the link along with name, age, address and daytime telephone number to info@mnetamerica.com. Deadline for entries is August 12. The audition videos must be less than five minutes in length and include: an introduction including name, age and residence city of applicant; why the applicant would make a good VJ; applicant’s favorite K-pop artists; a song and dance routine from applicant’s favorite K-pop artist; and anything else that will make the applicant stand out. Rosie O’Donnell’s new daily talk show, The Rosie Show on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is kicking off October 10 at 7p followed by the premiere of OWN Your Life (the oprah class) at 8p. Both shows will air Monday through Friday on OWN. Production started this week in New York on a new six-episode Food Network primetime series Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off (wt). A third season is in store for ABC’s Rookie Blue. The network picked up a third season with 13 episodes produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and Thump Inc. Rookie Blue airs on ABC in the US, Global Television in Canada and internationally on Universal Networks International’s pay-TV channels.

A second season renewal was granted by MTV for its series Teen Wolf. The new season consists of a dozen one-hour episodes slated to return in 2012. Currently in its Monday at 10p time slot, almost 1.7 million total viewers watch Teen Wolf each week.

Ted Danson is joining the cast of CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as the new CSI Supervisor for the overnight shift after leading the crime lab in Portland. His character makes his first appearance on the season premiere on September 21 at 10p. Danson also will continue to be a series regular on the HBO series Bored to Death.

It was announced yesterday, Oprah Winfrey is expanding her Chairman role with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network to become the permanent CEO and CCO beginning this fall. Harpo Studios’ Erik Logan and Sheri Salata, presently serving as Presidents will become Presidents of OWN, effective immediately. Erik and Sheri will work closely with Peter Liguori, Discovery Communications’ COO who is the interim CEO. Furthermore, all future television productions at Harpo Studios will exclusively be directed to OWN. Erik and Sheri will continue in their leadership roles for OWN produced programming at Harpo Productions Inc. Additionally, Lisa Erspamer will continue at OWN as EVP/Production and Development.
