Style Media handed Big Rich Texas a third season renewal and has expanded the franchise to include Big Rich Georgia which will premiere in first quarter 2013. Style also is queuing up a new series from producers Magical Elves called Betsey + Lulu, featuring fashion designer Betsey Johnson and her daughter, Lulu which begins filming next month and will premiere in first quarter 2013. Big Rich Texas is back on Style’s lineup October 7 at 8p. In addition, Style will air new episodes of Giuliana & Bill on October 2 at 8p and the second half of season two of Tia & Tamera is back starting October 22 at 8p.

Bravo serves up a supersized 75-minute episode for the second season debut of The Real Housewives of Miami on September 13 at 10p. Former Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers will headline a new 10-episode drama, Dracula approved by NBC. Dracula is a co-production between Universal Television UK network Sky Living, Flame Ventures, Playground Entertainment and Carnival Films & Television, the company behind Downton Abbey all under NBCUniversal International TV Production. NBC ordered a script of Dracula this month. EPs on the project include Playground’s Colin Callender, Flame’s Tony Krantz, Carnival’s Gareth Neame and Sky’s Anne Mensah. Co-EPs are Reece Pearson and Cole Haddon, who penned the script.

Television and film actor Chad Everett, best known for his portrayal of Dr. Joe Gannon on the 1970s CBS drama Medical Center died Tuesday at home in Los Angeles. He was 75. Mr. Everett starred in 170 episodes of Medical Center that aired from 1969-1976 and he also guest starred in such shows as The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, Melrose Place among many others. More recently, Mr. Everett appeared on Cold Case, Supernatural and Castle. Mr. Everett’s film credits include Mulholland Dr., The Jigsaw Murders and a 1998 remake of Psycho from Gus Van Sant. Mr. Everett was married for 45 years to the late actress Shelby Grant who passed in 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Katherine and Shannon and six grandchildren.

AMC tapped TV personality, chef and author Anthony Bourdain to host its second annual Mob Week kicking off July 30 through August 5. The week-long primetime event will present 19 mob-themed movies over seven decades including such titles as The Public Enemy, The Godfather trilogy, Scarface and The Untouchables among others. During Mob Week, AMC will additionally air a short-form docu-series highlighting today’s most notorious mafia members and exploring topics such as the mob code and more. Bourdain will be featured each night introducing the primetime movie and appearing in vignettes during each film. Bourdain’s segments were shot on location in Manhattan’s Little Italy and Bourdain will further reveal connections between the mob and Italian cuisine.

They will also create their own viral videos, pull pranks and parody current pop culture stories. truTV ordered 10 episodes from FishBowl Worldwide Media and Shaq Entertainment. Many of Viacom’s cable channels went dark on DirecTV Tuesday just before midnight ET as the two companies reached an impasse in their negotiations concerning a new carriage deal. Specifically, the channels that are now dark on DirecTV include Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, BET, VH1, CMT, Logo, Spike, TV Land, MTV2, VH1 Classic, Palladia, Nick Jr., NickToons and TeenNick as well as their hi-def related networks. Counting the hi-def channels, DirecTV carries a total of 26 Viacom-owned channels. A Viacom rep on the company’s blog wrote that DirecTV “dropped the channels without giving Viacom advanced warning,” and further stated the last time the two entities were in contact was at 11a on Tuesday. DirecTV, which has around 20 million subscribers, related Viacom is asking for a carriage fee increase of more than 30% and blames the blackout on Viacom. Furthermore, to put pressure on DirecTV to resolve their carriage dispute, Viacom is also limiting free online access to many of its top shows. Full episodes of The Daily Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Jersey Shore and The Colbert Report among others are now currently not available.

Apparently, NBC’s Today co-host Ann Curry will not exit NBC News. Reportedly, Curry is in negotiations with NBC executives to move into a new role with the network though will not continue as co-host of Today. Savannah Guthrie, who currently co-hosts the 9a hour of Today with Natalie Morales and Al Roker has been offered a promotion to co-host the main broadcast alongside Matt Lauer. George Randolph Hearst, the grandson of media giant William Randolph Hearst died Monday at the age of 84. Mr. Hearst was the Chairman of Hearst Corp., a privately-held media conglomerate that goes back more than 125 years when Mr. Hearst’s grandfather took control of the San Francisco Examiner. Mr. Hearst was a director of the company for more than 50 years following his uncle, Randolph A. Hearst as Board Chairman in 1996. Hearst Corp. presently owns 29 television stations and has shares in a number of cable networks. The company additionally owns 15 daily newspapers including the Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and San Francisco Chronicle. The company further owns several magazines including Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. Mr. Hearst also served as President of The Hearst Foundation and a Director of the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. He is survived by his wife, Susan Hearst; sons, George R. Hearst III, publisher of the Albany Times Union in New York; two other children, Stephen T. Hearst and Erin Hearst Knudsen; his twin sister, Phoebe Hearst Cooke; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

WE tv debuts new series L.A. Hair featuring Hollywood hairstylist to A-list celebrities, Kim Kimble on May 31 at 10p. The eight-episode one-hour series follows Kim as she manages her team of stylists that also includes her mother Jasmine as they work with Hollywood’s top celebrities such as Brandy, Laila Ali, Omarosa, Mary Mary and more. L.A. Hair is produced for WE tv by 3 Ball Productions, an Eyeworks company.

Yesterday, Viacom and Time Warner Cable agreed to resolve their pending litigations. TWC subscribers will be able to watch Viacom’s programming via TWC TVTM, Time Warner Cable’s in-home streaming app for tablet devices. Time Warner Cable consumers will also receive more on-air channels from Viacom including MTV Hits, MTV Jams and Centric. Viacom programming will be launched on TWC TVTM during the next several weeks.

Spike TV’s original series Ink Master produced by Original Media is readying production for season two and is looking for human canvases to get inked on TV by top tattoo artists. An open casting call is taking place next Monday from noon to 8p at Slate located at 54 West 21st Street in New York City. Interested participants must be at least 25 years old and located in the New York Tri-State area and be available this summer. Applicants must bring a valid photo ID to the open casting call and be prepared to show the area they would like to have tattooed. The show is looking for people with great personalities.
