On Sunday at 8p, VH1 aired the season two finale of Basketball Wives which posted a 1.5 rating among A18-49 and tallied 2.3 million total viewers.  This season conclusion was the highest-rated episode for the series to date and also the highest-rated telecast for VH1 since the VH1 Hip Hop Honors in October, 2009.  Directly after Basketball Wives, VH1 aired the sneak preview of new series, Love and Hip Hop which delivered a 1.3 A18-49 rating and 1.9 million total viewers.  Love and Hip Hop officially premieres March 14 at 1030p.

MTV wants more of Rob Dyrdek as the network brings back a fourth season of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory beginning April 4 at 1030p.  Dyrdek will also host a new MTV series, Ridiculousness launching June 9 at 10p where Dyrdek will dish on amateur online videos in front of a studio audience with his friends, Johnny Knoxville, Travis Pastrana, Ryan Dunn and Big Black making appearances.

Rosie Pope, working as a maternity concierge for wealthy expectant mothers in New York City, is starring in a new docu-drama, Pregnant in Heels for Bravo.  The series, produced by Hud:son Media for Bravo, debuts April 5 at 10p.  British-born Rosie also created and designed her own fashion line for pregnant women called Rosie Pope Maternity and developed a training academy for mothers-to-be called MomPrep.  The Bravo series will follow Rosie as she preps upcoming moms on motherhood while managing her store on the Upper East Side along with her assistants Hannah and LT.

Rachelle Lefevre, familiar as star in the first two Twilight movies, landed a role on NBC’s post-Civil War era pilot The Crossing.  Lefevre will play Anna, a war widow raising her daughter in a Missouri border town and the love interest of the main character, the troubled veteran who comes to town.  Universal Media Studios is producing project along with Peter Horton and Josh Brand who are executive producing; Horton will also direct the pilot. Lefevre is also currently seen on ABC’s medical drama Off the Map.

CBS made a two-year streaming deal with Netflix involving television series from its library beginning this April.  The deal includes episodes of such series as Medium and Flashpoint as well as full seasons of classic sitcoms Cheers and Frasier.  The deal’s financial terms were not disclosed.   As part of the deal, CBS can renew the agreement for up to two more years.

A new home renovation series, Mad About the House was approved by TLC, cites Variety. The series gives couples $25,000 to renovate three rooms in their house with the twist being the woman moves out while the man makes the design decisions.  Meanwhile, the woman is working with a designer to create her dream space in a replicate room.  When both rooms are revealed, the couple finds out if their design styles are similar.  TLC ordered six one-hour episodes from Pilgrim Films and Television.  Production has begun and a May premiere is scheduled.

On Monday, syndicated game show Jeopardy! introduced the first of three episodes featuring IBM’s supercomputer Watson competing against former show champs Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter.  Monday’s episode, according to Nielsen, posted an 8.7 overnight HH rating in the metered markets, making it the highest-rated ep in four years.  The special three-day competition ends today with one claiming a $1 million prize.  If Watson is the victor, IBM will donate all the proceeds to charity, and if Jennings or Rutter wins half the money will be donated.  CBS Television Distribution distributes Jeopardy!.

Steven Seagal will resume production on a third season of his reality show for A&E Network, though in a different locale, reports EW.  Last year production was halted on Steven Seagal Lawman, shot in the New Orleans area, after the actor was accused of alleged illicit behavior.  The new season will be filmed in Phoenix, AZ and Seagal will work as a Deputy under Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Maricopa County.

Actor Kenneth Mars, best known for his role in the original movie version of “The Producers” written and directed by Mel Brooks, died last Saturday at his home. He was 75.  Mr. Mars also had a role in Brooks’ film “Young Frankenstein” (1974) among other notable movies.  Mr. Mars was a prolific television actor with roles in Get Smart, Gunsmoke, Columbo, Murder, She Wrote, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Malcolm in the Middle.  He was additionally a voice actor on a variety of cartoon shows.  Mr. Mars is survived by two daughters and six grandchildren.

MTV premieres the sophomore season of The Hard Times of RJ Berger beginning March 24 at 11p directly after the Jersey Shore season finale.  The second season of Hard Times will resume where the plot left off at the end of season one following the life and times of awkward 15-year old RJ Berger.  Following the premiere, the series will switch to its regular time slot of Mondays at 10p starting March 28.

Super Bowl XLV was not the only bowl event that scored on Sunday as Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl VII attracted its largest audience ever with 9.2 million unique total viewers over the 12-hour marathon.  For its two-hour premiere at 3p, Puppy Bowl averaged more than 1.7 million total viewers, a 60% increase over the previous year during the 3-5p time period.

ReelzChannel acquired the eight-part miniseries The Kennedys about three weeks after History Channel opted to not air it and several other networks including Showtime and DirecTV passed it up.  ReelzChannel, owned by Hubbard Media Group, gained the world premiere rights to the miniseries, launching it on April 3.  The miniseries stars Greg Kinnear as John F. Kennedy; Barry Pepper as Robert F. Kennedy, Katie Holmes as Jacqueline Kennedy and Tom Wilkinson as Joseph Kennedy, Sr. and it depicts the public and private lives of this powerful family.  The Kennedy’s is produced by Muse Entertainment Enterprises in association with Asylum Entertainment.

ABC set the date for the 12th season of Dancing with the Stars for March 21 with the first results show airing on March 29.  The celebrity cast and their professional dancers will be announced by ABC during The Bachelor on February 28.  One pro dancer not returning this season is three-time winner Derek Hough who will be in production on his first movie, Cobu 3D.  Hough will be back for the fall edition of DWTS.

NBC made a change in its primetime schedule opting to take Law & Order: Los Angeles (LOLA) off the lineup following the recent casting eliminations of series regulars Skeet Ulrich, Megan Boone and Regina Hall because of creative differences.  As a result, NBC will keep Parenthood in its current time slot of Tuesdays at 10p for the remainder of its sophomore season.  For now, NBC has not set a return date for LOLA and the network will continue with its frosh drama Harry’s Law without interruption.

The renewal pact will take the series through its seventh season.

Ninas Mal will air weeknights with 70 total episodes with English subtitles on the bilingual/bicultural network.
