In its upcoming new reality series, CBS focuses on city pooches, their owners and the behavior of both when Dogs in the City debuts May 30 at 8p. The new series features Justin Silver, a dog trainer who is skilled at finding resolutions between dogs and their owners. Silver figures out solutions for all types of doggie dilemmas including a recently divorced couple whose dog is having a hard time adjusting to joint custody to a couple who wants to move in together but she’s terrified of his golden retriever. CBS’ Raquel Productions Inc. is producing Dogs in the City in association with Shed Media US Inc. and Carol Mendelsohn Productions.

Earlier this week, ABC released some retooling decisions for its daytime lineup. The network is renewing long-time soap, General Hospital coming up on its 50th year. Food talk show, The Chew, which premiered last September and replaced canceled soap All My Children was also renewed though newer health and lifestyle talk show, The Revolution which bowed last January did not make the cut. ABC will end The Revolution in July. In the interim weeks when The Revolution ends and before new talk show Katie starring Katie Couric debuts on September 10, the ABC-owned stations will carry GMA in the Afternoon, a spinoff of the morning daytime program Good Morning America which will highlight many of the same personalities and serve up lighter content and breaking news when necessary.

FOX ordered a double helping of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen giving the cooking competition series an 11th and a 12th season. Hell’s Kitchen, produced by ITV Studios America in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions is set to premiere season 10 on May 29 at 8p and will add a second night starting June 4 at 9p.

In other news from FOX, the network opted to bench the remaining second season episodes of sitcom Breaking In starring Christian Slater. FOX is pulling the series from its Tuesday primetime schedule and airing in its place at 930p on April 24, May 1 and May 8 will be repeats of New Girl. Six more episodes were added to the order for Baggage Battles making its first season total 12 half-hour episodes. Former Next Food Network Star finalist and author Chef Nathan Lyon will travel across America to find the healthiest places to eat. This past weekend’s #1 movie at the Box Office, The Hunger Games was acquired by ABC Family in a network television premiere rights deal with Lionsgate. The deal also includes the network television debut rights to Catching Fire, the second movie in The Hunger Games franchise. The agreement gives ABC Family the rights to be the basic cable home for the first two movies of The Hunger Games franchise and the movies will air on ABC Family in 2014.

Buying and Selling (wt) is a spinoff of the network’s Property Brothers series where Jonathan Scott prepares a family’s home for sale while brother Drew finds their next property. The series debuts in September. Two other new HGTV series are spinoffs of the House Hunters franchise: House Hunters: Where Are They Now? debuts in October and looks in on memorable House Hunters families to see what happened after finding their new house. Living Abroad picks up where House Hunters International leaves off and looks at what it takes for Americans to adjust to a new country. The premiere date of Living Abroad has not been set yet.

Bravo took its newest dating reality series Love Broker off its schedule after airing two episodes.
