Wheel of Fortune is giving one fan the chance to be “Vanna For A Day” as part of an online contest. Ryan Seacrest will continue as a radio host in addition to its various television gigs as he signed a new expanded three-year contract with Clear Channel Communications. Seacrest’s new deal allows him to develop new content for syndication with Clear Channel which also includes digital extensions. Reports estimate the deal to be worth $60 million over three years for Seacrest.

TV Land approved two comedy pilots with one titled Happily Divorced based on the real life of Fran Drescher. Happily Divorced is about a woman struggling with dating who finds out her ex-husband is gay. Drescher wrote the pilot and will produce with her ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobsen. The second pilot, titled Rip City, is a workplace comedy set at a company called Rip City Cola which is rocked when a young Ivy League-educated female takes control. Terri Minsky is penning the pilot with Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis as executive producers.

Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice) has another drama in development for ABC centered on public relations guru Judy Smith, who worked with such clients as Bill Clinton and Michael Vick, reports EW. The project is in the script phase and will include a procedural element similar to the “case of the week” format found on medical and lawyer shows in addition to an eccentric staff of other characters.
