Disney+ and Hulu went on a British greenlighting spree on Wednesday. The streamers renewed both Canneseries winner “Alice and Steve” and unscripted reality series “Raising Chelsea” for second seasons; announced “Mad Love,” a romantic comedy-drama from playwright Kate Cortesi; and attached “Love Island” star Maura Higgins to a reboot of the iconic UK dating show “Blind Date.”

Sports streaming platform DAZN announced plans to acquire EverPass Media, which distributes live sports content to public venues like bars and restaurants. The acquisition strengthens DAZN’s foothold in the US market. Additionally, DAZN is launching DAZN for Business, a service dedicated to media and sports distribution in commercial venues globally. RedBird Capital Partners, TKO Group Holdings and 32 Equity, the strategic investment arm of the NFL, will become DAZN shareholders.

Tim Curry died at 83. In television, the actor was best known for portraying Pennywise in the 1990 “It” miniseries. He also voiced several animated characters, including Nigel Thornberry in “The Wild Thornberrys” (1998-2004) and Captain Hook in Fox’s “Peter Pan & the Pirates” (1990-91), the latter of which won him a Daytime Emmy Award.
