Netflix is thinking big for “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew.” In a first for the streamer, Greta Gerwig’s big-budget adventure film will open wide in theaters on February 12, 2027 — with sneak previews in IMAX theaters starting February 10 — followed by its Netflix drop on April 2. The origin story for C.S. Lewis’ Narnia is the first ever adaptation of Lewis’s The Magician’s Nephew, which was published in 1955.

The Kentucky Derby on Saturday delivered the most viewers in 36 years,with an average of 19.6 million on NBC and Peacock (up 11% versus last year), and a peak viewership of 24.4 million, according to preliminary data from Adobe Analytics. Next out of the gate: the Preakness on May 16.

Netflix spy thriller “The Night Agent” will wrap with season four. “Ever since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent’ I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” said creator, EP and showrunner Shawn Ryan. “I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on ‘The Night Agent’ and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans.”

Season three of Food Network’s “24 in 24: Last Chef Standing” nabbed its highest-rated season opener yet for P25-54 (.68 Live+3) and W25-54 (.95), with ratings up 6% and 36% respectively vs. last year’s start. “The Ultimate Baking Championship” scored a series-high rating for P25-54 (.56 Live+3) on Monday night with a .69 for W25-54, up 30% and 10%, respectively, versus prior six-week benchmarks. Heading into the finale the series has been seen by more than 11.6 million P2+ cross-platform viewers.
