A bad joke about Beyonce and Jay Z’s 2-year-old daughter has landed a BET producer in hot water. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the exec was suspended after a remark about Blue Ivy’s hair aired during the network’s music video countdown show, 106 & Park. Guest host Karrueche Tran made a comment about the child’s “thoughts” during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, saying, “I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair,” adding, “Sorry, Blue! I love you!” BET’s president of music programming and specials, Stephen Hill, publicly apologized on Twitter and also reached out to Beyonce and Jay Z privately.

Famed comedienne Joan Rivers was rushed to New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital, after she stopped breathing during throat surgery on Thursday. According to reports, the 81-year-old host of Fashion Police was undergoing surgery on her vocal chords at a clinic on the Upper East Side.  E! later announced that River’s condition had been upgraded from critical to stable.

Netflix has acquired the rights to NBC drama The Blacklist from Sony Pictures TV. The deal, which Variety reports is worth about $2 million per episode, would make it the most expensive off-network series picked up by the internet streaming provider.
