Investigation Discovery has greenlit a new episode of its docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The new episode, “Breaking the Silence,” will premiere Sunday, April 7 and featured former Nickelodeon child stars from the early 2000s, including Drake Bell. “With ‘Breaking the Silence,’ we’re digging deeper into the crucial conversations the docuseries ignited and exploring the lingering questions left in their wake to provide further insight from the brave voices who’ve spoken out previously and those who are coming forward again,” said Jason Sarlanis, president at TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID and HLN. Since its debut, the series has been watched by more than 16 million viewers across Max, Discovery+ and ID, the largest audience of an unscripted series since Max launched.

Gordon Ramsay’s FOX cooking competition “Hell’s Kitchen” has been renewed for two more seasons. “Hell’s Kitchen was our first series with Gordon, marking the launch of one of FOX’s most successful creative partnerships ever and an important cornerstone in what has become global television’s most powerful cooking brand,” said Allison Wallach, President, Unscripted Programming at FOX Entertainment. AXS TV and Spectrum’s Band Together for Music Education initiative will continue for another year. Linear channel and streamer MGM+ has ordered a six-episode limited series for “Earth Abides,” based on George R. Stewart’s sci-fi novel of the same name. The series, which begins production in Vancouver on April 8, will star “Vikings’” Alexander Ludwig and will be helmed by showrunner Todd Komarnicki. “It’s very special to reintroduce Earth Abides to fans of George Stewart’s seminal work of science fiction, as well as to a new generation,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+.
