“Suits” will make its broadcast television debut on MyNetwork TV this fall, where it will be offered on free television for the first time. CBS has ordered daytime drama “The Gates” to series, set to premiere in January 2025. The show, written by Emmy-winning soap opera veteran Michele Val Jean, will follow the lives of a wealthy Black family in a gated community. Developed as a joint venture between CBS studios and the NAACP, it appears the show will replace “The Talk,” wrapping its 15th and final season in December.

The Africa Channel Inc. is partnering with free streaming service BLKFAM, founded by digital media veteran Larry Adams, and launched in February 2024 with equity partner Whoopi Goldberg. The two Black-owned media companies are collaborating on co-branded content, distribution, marketing, promotion and ad sales.
