Tuesday’s ABC Presidential Debate drew an estimated 57.5 million viewers across eight networks, according to early Nielsen data. ABC News topped the chart with 18.31 million viewers, followed by NBC News (9.7 million), Fox News (8.67 million), MSNBC (6.02 million), CBS News (5.91 million), Fox Broadcasting (4.74 million), CNN (4.11 million) and Fox Business Network (287,000). That’s versus 51.3 million viewers who tuned in for the President Biden/Donald Trump in June, a figure that included nine networks and out-of-home viewing.

By AdImpact’s count, the debate reached 71.3 million viewers across networks and streaming. Traditional linear television accounted for 53.2% of the total audience, YouTube and YouTube TV captured 15.3%, and other streaming platforms collectively held 31.5% of the viewership.

FOX News Media sent letters to both the Harris and Trump campaignsshortly before Tuesday’s event proposing an additional debate in October, hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. Trump had other ideas. Asked Wednesday morning on “Fox & Friends” about the offer, the candidate said he wouldn’t want Baier and MacCallum as moderators, suggesting Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham or Jesse Watters instead.

Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven studio and IP business, and the Jim Henson Company will adapt the supernatural WEBTOON webcomic “Third Shift Society.” Ray Utarnachitt (“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”) is attached to write the live-action series based on Meredith Moriarty’s original webcomic. Aron Levitz, David Madden and Sera Tabb will produce for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. John W. Hyde and Terissa Kelton will executive produce for Rehab Entertainment, and Lisa Henson will executive produce for The Jim Henson Company.

Will Erica Kane rise again? Lifetime is in early talks to revive ABC soap opera “All My Children” as a TV-movie franchise, reports TV Line. It’s all in the family – ABC parent Disney is a co-owner of Lifetime parent A+E Networks. Should the project come to fruition, the movies are expected to feature legacy characters from the drama, canceled in 2011 by ABC after 42 years.
