HBO Max rolled out two new mobile features aimed at making it easier for subscribers to find their next binge watch.
-The first, “HBO Max Shorts,” introduces a vertical, scrollable feed of clips, trailers, and standout scenes to the HBO Max mobile app.. The feed is personalized to each user’s watch history, and anything that catches their eye can be started immediately or saved to “My List.” The feature is currently in testing with select iOS users in the U.S., with a broader rollout planned across additional devices and markets.
-The second is an AI-powered search tool, now in experimental mode for adult Android users in the U.S. Accessible via “Ask HBO Max” on the search page, it lets subscribers search in plain English — “something funny for girls night” or “dysfunctional family drama” — and surfaces relevant titles even when the wording doesn’t match standard metadata. Broader device and market availability is on the way.
