TLC made the announcement yesterday its reality show Jon & Kate Plus Eight will re-launch this November 2 to become more succinctly Kate Plus Eight.  The show will continue to focus on the eight Gosselin children, taking also a closer look at their mother Kate Gosselin, now single. The network will still have an exclusive relationship with Jon Gosselin and he will occasionally appear on the show, though less frequently.  TLC additionally said it is in the development stages on a new project featuring Kate for 2010.

E! introduces viewers to Shayne Lamas, daughter of Michele Smith and Lorenzo Lamas in the new half-hour reality series Leave it to Lamas on October 11 at 1030p following the season debut of The Girls Next Door at 10p. Some television viewers will be familiar with Shayne as she appeared recently on ABC’s The Bachelor: London Calling receiving the final rose and marriage proposal from bachelor Matt Grant. Still single, the series follows Shayne where she lives in Los Angeles as she juggles her promising acting career, dating and handling her over-the-top family. The series is produced by Mike Fleiss and Warner Horizon for E!.

Distillery Pictures seeks two hosts (one male, one female) for a new lifestyle makeover television series. Specific requirements for both positions include being between 25-35 years old, funny, attractive, with great personalities and improvisational and interpersonal talents. One host will ideally be more aggressive and confrontational (bad cop) while the other one is more empathetic and supportive (good cop). KYW-TV (CBS3)/Philadelphia is hosting an open casting call looking for talented people to appear on the CBS soap As The World Turns. The casting call will be held at Boscov’s in the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, PA on September 15 from 11a to 1p. A casting director will be on hand to videotape auditions. At least 10 people from the Philly area will be selected to appear in an episode taped on location in Philadelphia this October. Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of the auditions and eligible to work in the US. In addition, selected applicants must not currently be a candidate for public office and must agree to not become one until after the first broadcast of all programs in which the participants appear. Interested applicants must bring a completed application form, a signed release and waiver form, valid proof of ID and documentation showing eligibility for employment. Playboy TV is searching for contestants to appear on a new reality series, Playboy Shootout, hosted by 2001 Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick. The network is looking for 10 beautiful models and 10 skilled photographers who will compete for the opportunity to shoot at Playboy’s Studio West and have their photo seen by Hugh Hefner. Production begins on the nine-episode series this fall and it is scheduled to premiere in spring 2010.
