Netflix is the biggest spender – by far – in the streaming universe. The service spent $15.3 billion on content in 2024, reports MoffattNathanson Research, topping $8.6 billion for Walt Disney (Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+), $6.4 billion for Warner Bros. Discovery (discovery+, Max), $5.2 billion for Peacock and $4.2 billion for Paramount+. Thanks to its large subscriber base, Netflix also boasts the highest profit margin – 28%.
