So says “The New Life of the Living Room,” a study from RTL AdAlliance that looks at viewing habits across Europe and the US. The report found that 59% of CTV users start with broadcaster-produced content when they switch on their TV. While US viewers lean more towards digital content (49% watch SVOD daily), European audiences tend to favor linear TV. Spanish viewers are the most loyal to linear TV with 61% watching daily.

The New York Yankees and YES Network struck an eleventh-hour deal for a new carriage agreement that averted a blackout in Xfinity households in parts of New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The National Football League is likely to opt out of its domestic media rights contracts four years early, sources have told Front Office Sports. The NFL’s current deals with Amazon, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC run through the 2033 season, but the league has opt-out provisions with Amazon, Fox and NBC after the 2029 season, and with ESPN in 2030.
