Not so fast, responded Media General to the New York Post’s report that it is dropping its plan to acquire Meredith for $2.4 billion, a withdrawal that would come after shareholder objections to the merger and an unsolicited $4.1 billion offer from competitor Nexstar Broadcasting Group. In a statement on Wednesday, Media General said its “board of directors continues to recommend the Meredith transaction as it is undertaking its review of the Nexstar proposal.”

NBC Owned Television Stations announced that former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts will take the reins at NBC’s1st Look starting next year.
