As Warner Bros. Discovery mulls whether to split the company, sell some assets or sell the whole kit and caboodle, a source tells CNBC a decision is expected by mid to late December. WBD has rejected three offers from Paramount for a full takeover; Paramount has discussed taking an offer directly to shareholders and formalizing a hostile bid for the company, according to CNBC.

Netflix reported on Wednesday that it is using a new viewership metric,monthly active users, which it says will more accurately represent the reach of its ad-supported tier. “After speaking to our partners, we know that what they want most is an accurate, clear, and transparent representation of who their ads are reaching,” wrote Amy Reinhard, President, Adverting, on the company’s website. “Our previous measurement (which was based on account profiles) didn’t represent all of the engaged people who are in the room watching.” Reinhard says the service now counts 190 million active users for its ad-supported tier.

Tom Bergeron, who hosted ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” from its launch in 2005 until 2020 – when he was critical of the show’s decision to add former White House press secretary Sean Spicer to the season 28 cast – is returning to the show as a guest judge.
