Four “Saturday Night Live” cast members who will not be onboard for season 51 include Heidi Gardner, who joined the show in 2017 as a featured player and was bumped up to the main cast in 2019; Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker after three seasons (“Sometimes mom and dad just don’t see things eye to eye,” posted Walker on Instagram); and Emil Wakim, who joined as a featured player last season. The new season is set to launch October 4.

This year’s John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health’s annual Evening from the Heart LA gala will feature a one-night-only staged Live Celebrity Read from “Three’s Company” on September 12, with Pluto TV as the exclusive media partner. The performance will feature the episode “Going to Pot” led by Kaley Cuoco (“The Flight Attendant”), Adam Devine (“Pitch Perfect”), and Jason Alexander (“Seinfeld”). CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller has died at age 73. Knoller joined CBS in 1988. “Mark Knoller was the hardest-working and most prolific White House correspondent of a generation,” said Tom Cibrowski, President and Executive Editor of CBS News. “Everyone in America knew his distinctive voice and his up-to-the-minute reporting across eight Presidential administrations.”
