“Let’s Make A Deal” showrunner John Quinn has been named showrunner and executive producer of “The Price is Right.” “It’s the show we all watched during summer break and when we were home sick from school,” said Quinn in a statement. “This show is a major reason why I work on game shows in the first place, so to be a part of it now is an honor that I do not take lightly. I am still pinching myself!” Quinn is also showrunner for “Press Your Luck.”

Hilary Duff is set to star in and executive produce “Pretty Ugly,” a new comedy in development at Hulu. The single-camera series is based on Kirker Butler’s 2015 novel of the same name and follows Miranda Miller, a former teen pageant queen determined to make her daughter Bailey a child pageant star.

HBO is developing a series based on the upcoming book The Fort Bragg Cartel: Drug Trafficking and Murder in the Special Forces by journalist and military veteran Seth Harp. The book, which debuts on The New York Times bestseller list on August 31, investigates drug trafficking, unsolved murders and corruption within U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg.

Season 2 of “NCIS: Origins” will feature a tribute episode to David McCallum, who portrayed Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for 20 seasons before his death in 2023. Titled “The Edge,” the episode stars Adam Campbell as a young Ducky, “to honor the memory of our dear friend David McCallum,” said showrunners Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North in a statement. “He was a beloved member of the ‘NCIS’ family for many years and we’re incredibly lucky to have the talented Adam Campbell back to bring the younger version of this iconic character to life again.” Season 2 premieres October 14.
