Redbox owner Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment has converted from a Chapter 11 case to Chapter 7, and will shut down operations. “There is no means to continue to pay employees, pay any bills, otherwise finance this case. It is hopelessly insolvent,” said Judge Thomas Horan, who is overseeing proceedings. “Given the fact that there may also be at least the possibility of misappropriation of funds that were held in trust for employees, there is more than ample reason why this case should be converted.”

“Young Martin,” a drama prequel to the 1992-97 Fox comedy “Martin,”is in the works from Martin Lawrence and his RunTelDat and Marvin Peart’s WonderHill Studios.
