OpenAI has suspended the use of a voice dubbed “Sky,” part of a GPT-4o release last week – and the butt of a joke on “Saturday Night Live” – over concerns that it sounds too much like actress Scarlett Johansson. “We believe that AI voices should not deliberately mimic a celebrity’s distinctive voice – Sky’s voice is not an imitation of Scarlett Johansson but belongs to a different professional actress using her own natural speaking voice,” said OpenAI in a blog most. So who is it? “To protect their privacy, we cannot share the names of our voice talents,” continued the post.

CBS News has created a Medical, Health and Wellness unit. “There is no doubt that medical and health news is important to our audience, and by centralizing our brain trust in this area, we can drive headlines and drive engagement even further across all platforms,” wrote Adrienne Roark, President of Content Development and Integration for CBS News and Stations, in a memo. HBO handed a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for a half-hour college comedy starring and executive produced by Steve Carell. “Scrubs” alums Bill Lawrence (“Ted Lasso”) and Matt Tarses (“The Goldbergs”) will executive produce the series from Warner Bros. Television. “The combination of Steve Carell and Bill Lawrence promises to be full of great laughs, warmth, and charm,” said Amy Gravitt, EVP, HBO & Max Comedy Programming. “We’re thrilled to be the home for this long overdue collaboration.”

Paramount Network hit “Yellowstone” has started production on the second half of its fifth season in Montana. The series from MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios is slated to return in November. Kevin Costner, who exited “Yellowstone” in part due to scheduling conflicts with his film “Horizon: An American Saga,” told GQ he offered to return for a death scene but “the scripts never came.” Paramount responded with the statement, “Kevin has been a big part of ‘Yellowstone’s’ success. While we had hoped that we would continue working with him, unfortunately, we could not find a window that worked for him, all the other talent, and our production needs in order to move forward together. We respect that Kevin has prioritized his new film series and we wish him the best.”
