The CW has entered a multi-year partnership with the Miss USA Pageant and the Miss Teen USA Pageant after last year’s telecast of the Miss USA Pageant ranked as the network’s top new special of the year, and gave the pageant its strongest performance in three years. “We look forward to continuing the storied tradition of these pageants, refreshed with a modern sensibility, on The CW for the next three years,” said Heather Olander, CW Head of Unscripted Programming.

Fuse Media and youth vote organization NextGen Media are partnering to amplify “Just F***ing Vote,” a year-long voter registration and voter engagement campaign using humor to target young adults ages 18-30. The goal of the partnership? Get young and culturally diverse voters to get involved in the democratic process. Netflix ordered a Chuck Lorre comedy starring Leanne Morgan, as well as two stand-up specials from the comedian. The series, co-created by Morgan, Lorre and Susan McMartin, will follow a woman whose life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. “If you’ve seen even ten seconds of Leanne Morgan’s stand up then you know what a unique comedic force she is,” said Lorre. “The theme of starting over is universal, and I cannot think of anyone better to combine heart and comedy than Leanne. I knew I had to work with her, and I’m so excited to bring this story to Netflix.”
