Disney took aim at activist investor Nelson Peltz and his firm, Trian Fund Management, in a video posted on VoteDisney.com. Peltz is gunning for seats on the Disney board for himself and former Disney CFO Jay Rasulo. “The Disney board is always open to good ideas from engaged shareholders,” said the video. “But a quick glance at Peltz’s white paper will reveal a surprising number of questionable proposals that reinforce his clear lack of experience in media, not to mention a litany of factual misstatements and quite a few proposals that Disney is already implementing.” The video also noted Rasulo “hasn’t been employed since leaving Disney” in 2015. In response, Trian said the video includes “false and misleading statements.”

In a filing on Monday, Reddit Inc. said it is seeking to raise as much as $748 million in its initial public offering. The company and its investors are planning to sell 22 million shares for $31-$34 each. About 15.3 million those shares will be sold by the company, and the rest by investors and Reddit employees.

A comically over-sized version will embark on a nationwide tour of GalaxyCon fan events, kicking off in Richmond, VA March 15-17. As part of the initiative, Cozi TV will present “‘Roseanne’ Couch Week,” July 8-12. Comprised of 20 episodes, the multi-part marathon will begin nightly at 10p, hosted by an animated talking couch.

All 11 Deadspin staffers were laid off after the sale of the sports site from G/O Media to new company Lineup Publishing. “Recently we were approached by the European firm Lineup Publishing expressing interest in purchasing Deadspin to add to their growing media holdings,” wrote G/O Media CEO Jim Spanfeller in a company email. “After careful consideration, the G/O Media board of directors has decided to accept their offer….Deadspin’s new owners have made the decision to not carry over any of the site’s existing staff and instead build a new team more in line with their editorial vision for the brand.”
