Reddit has filed to go public. The message board site saw ad revenue rise 20% in 2023, but posted a net loss of $90.8 million, with 73 million daily users and over 100,000 active communities. In a twist, Reddit is giving users who have “meaningfully contributed to Reddit community programs,” including moderators, the opportunity to buy shares in the company at the IPO price normally reserved for employees, “friends and family” and investors.

Vice employees are bracing for layoffs. The digital news platform’s website is closing, and hundreds of employees will be let go. Subrata De, EVP, News and Global Head of Programming, is among those exiting. “We’ve been together in this long goodbye for some time now, but today it’s real for me, as this is my last official day with Vice,” she wrote in memo to colleagues. “Working with you for close to six years, as you braved some of the most dangerous and trying circumstances has been life-changing.” Vice filed for Chapter 11 in May of last year and was then acquired by a group of creditors for $350.

Lawyers for “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Brandi Glanville weren’t placated by an apology from Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” host and “Real Housewives” executive producer Andy Cohen regarding a video he sent to Glanville, which her camp describes as sexual harassment. Cohen said he was “clearly joking” in the video in question, but added, “it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.” Not good enough, responded Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos. “NBC continues to protect those in power,” they wrote. “Brian Roberts, it’s time to step in like you did with Andy Lack and Jeff Shell, and stop the cover-up and do the right thing. Your legacy and decency demands it.”
