Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury cleared Werner Entertainment series “The Conners” in more than 85% of the U.S., securing multi-year access and early fringe deals on leading station groups starting in fall 2024, the company said. In addition, CBS Television Stations and other broadcasters like Gray, Nexstar, Lockwood, Scripps and Weigel acquired syndication rights to the program – ABC’s top-rated scripted show and sitcom of last season -– with more expected to join the lineup. Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said, “With Tom Werner providing the highest-rated sitcom to enter off-network syndication in recent memory, ‘The Conners’ will serve as the cornerstone of many of our great station partners’ late afternoon and early evening schedules for many years to come.”

Husband and wife real estate developers and stars of HGTV series “100 Day Dream Home” Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt will square off in the network’s latest competition series “100 Day Hotel Challenge. Inspired by a recent Florida hotel renovation the two recently completed, the pair will assemble teams of HGTV experts to help them fully transform two adjacent, dated beachfront hotels in Salter Path, North Carolina in 100 days or less. The six-episode series is slated for summer 2024.

TNT Sports has reached a multiyear renewal agreement with NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller that will extend his tenure on the network and its platforms to more than 25 years. Miller is in his 19th season with TNT Sports as a game analyst for NBA on TNT’s regular season, NBA All-Star, and NBA Playoffs coverage, through the Conference Finals. He has called more than 650 national NBA regular season and playoff games throughout his television broadcasting career — fifth all-time among color commentators — including 13 NBA Conference Finals. Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) and Fox will launch an early-season college basketball showcase – the Women’s Champions Classic, with the inaugural event featuring the University of Connecticut, the University of Tennessee, the University of Iowa, and the University of Louisville in a primetime doubleheader on FOX, Saturday, December 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Super Bowl LVIII sponsors saw a 7% boost in brand visibility and media value over last year, according to a new report from Relo Metrics. Among Relo findings: Nike’s jersey partnership accounted for 60% of sponsored exposures during the game; State Farm’s Halftime Report netted the brand $16 million in media value; and Verizon’s takeover of the Las Vegas Sphere during the broadcast generated $2.5 million in media value in one exposure for the brand.
