Bet you can’t watch just one. For Groundhog Day today, Frito-Lay released eight custom ads starring “Groundhog Day” actor Stephen Tobolowsky and Aremis Pebdani (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”). The ads from Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and Jimmy Kimmel’s KIMMELOT spotlight eight flavors of Frito-Lay chips as Tobolowsky experiences the “same” day over and over. Frito-Lay serves as the sole sponsor of the activation, marking the first time Disney has offered an exclusive sponsorship opportunity featuring a brand suite across an entire day. The ads will air on ABC from “Good Morning America,” to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.

NATAS announced category changes to the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Eliminated are the Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama and Outstanding Promotional Announcement categories. Outstanding Writing for a Daytime Non-Fiction Series and Outstanding Writing for Daytime Non-Fiction Special have been combined into Outstanding Writing for a Daytime Non-Fiction Program, and the Daytime Program Host category has been split into two categories: Daytime Personality–Daily, and Daytime Personality–Non-Daily. “Programming is always changing, and NATAS continues to adapt its competition rules to reflect these shifts in the television landscape,” said Adam Sharp, President of NATAS.

FX announced limited series “Say Nothing,” an account of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The series from Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson’s Color Force will be available exclusively on Hulu in the US, Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories. Patrick Radden Keefe, the author of the book upon which the series is based, will serve as an executive producer with showrunner Josh Zetumer and Northern Irish director Michael Lennox.

Alison Sweeney (“Love & Jane”) returns as baker-turned-amateur sleuth Hannah Swensen and reunites with her “The Wedding Veil” trilogy co-star Victor Webster for “One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery,” premiering on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries later this year.
