WE tv has acquired non-exclusive cable rights to all seven seasons of Sony Pictures Television/CBS Studios action drama “S.W.A.T.” The CBS series is available on Netflix and Hulu, and has been sold in broadcast syndication. Its WE tv debut is November 12.

By the numbers: Disney earnings topped analysts’ expectations, with 7 million new subscribers, for a total of 150.2 million. Revenue was $21.24 billion, up 5% from the year-ago period….Warner Bros. Discovery reported 3Q23 total revenues of $9.98 billion, up 1% versus the prior year quarter. Net loss was $417 million, and included $1.8 billion in restructuring and other expenses. Streaming revenue was up 5% to $2.5 billion, thanks to price hikes.…Total revenue at Nexstar Media Group dipped 11% versus 3Q23, to $1.1 billion, while core TV ad revenue fell 25, to $391 million…. Gray Television also saw total revenue drop for the quarter, down 12% to $803 million. Core advertising revenue rose 1% year-over-year.

A Spanish- and English-language crime drama, “Prey Before You Eat”(w/t) is in the works from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Rubicon Global Media’s Jorge Granier and Chris Albrecht, reports Deadline. “I am excited to join forces again with Chris, we have had great success together with the ‘Power’ Universe. I look forward to bringing more premium content to underserved audiences and doing it with my friend Chris makes it that much better,” said Jackson of the project.

FOX News Media will present its fourth annual “All-American Christmas Tree Lighting” on Monday, November 20 at 5p, partnering with the First Responders Children’s Foundation. The Unforgettable Gala, honoring Asian and Pacific Islanders in entertainment, arts and culture, will be available on cable and streaming platforms for the first time. ChimeTV will serve as the exclusive broadcast partner for UNFO. Honorary co-chairs, journalist Lisa Ling and filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will lead this year’s awards Selection Committee.
