“The Amazing Race” post-production crew has unionized under the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700, with voluntary recognition by the show’s producer, Worldrace Productions. Under the new union contract, editorial crew will receive an 8% pay raise via paid vacations and holidays.

Hey kids, ya ready? Nickelodeon picked up a fifteenth season of #1 animated series “SpongeBob SquarePants.” The show, produced by Nickelodeon, celebrates its 25th anniversary next year.

Off The Fence and boomsatsuma, specialist in education for the next generation of talent for the creative industries, have entered into a partnership under which OTF will be the first TV production company to shoot a series in boomsatsuma’s new Bristol-based studio facility. Sustainability network EarthxTV has commissioned a second season of “Ocean Wonders.” The decision to film parts of the series at boomsatsuma’s new studio in the Brislington area of Bristol will enable students to gain real-world experience of the creative and commercial processes involved in producing a premium documentary series.

CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), the non-profit creating opportunities for Asian and Pacific Islanders in Hollywood, announced the return of the CAPE Animation Directors Accelerator with Kevin Noel (SVP, Creative, Sony Pictures Animation) as Program Chair. In collaboration with SPE, the initiative identifies and equips the next generation of Asian and Pacific Islander animation professionals with the skills needed to become directors in feature film and episodic animation.

The Fresh Beats Dolls will come to life in an animated short series from EPI, the toy and publishing division of The Dr. Lisa Company. The series of six, three-minute shorts centers around a titular girl group forming over the course of a EuroVision-type singing competition. “Thursday Night Football” on Prime Video’s scored a +15% viewership increase over last season’s comparable game with 13.48 million viewers, marking the third-straight week that “TNF” on Prime has delivered a double-digit gain versus the previous year.
