CNN is making big changes to its lineup. Weekend anchor and political correspondent Abby Phillips will anchor the 10p slot, and Laura Coates has landed an 11p show. Chief investigative correspondent Pamela Brown will anchor a new 3p show, while Kasie Hunt takes over “Early Start,” and Phil Mattingly will co-anchor “CNN The Morning” with Poppy Harlow. For weekend programming, Victor Blackwell, Chris Wallace and Christiane Amanpour are hosting new Saturday morning shows, and Manu Raju will anchor “Inside Politics” on Sunday. CNN’s new lineup elevates “a new generation of rising stars to key time slots as it seeks to improve lackluster ratings and reboot its programming ahead of the 2024 presidential election,” said CNN’s website.

SAG-AFTRA is adjusting its “evolving” Interim Agreements policy to exclude projects shot in the US that are covered by the Writers Guild. “The Interim Agreement is an important element of our strike strategy,” said the SAG-AFTRA Negotiating Committee on Monday. “We will now exclude from Interim Agreements any WGA-covered project to be produced in the USA. We have been advised by the WGA that this modification will assist them in executing their strike strategy, and we believe it does not undermine the utility and effectiveness of ours. It is a win-win change.”

Mom and Dad are in prison, but the Chrisley kids are still in the TV business. “Chrisley Knows Best” alums Chase, Savannah, Chloe, Grayson, and “Nanny” Faye Chrisley are set to star in a docuseries in development at Scout Productions. The series follows the family after Todd and Julie Chrisley’s departure for prison for financial crimes. “Collaborating with the Chrisley family, who are nothing short of reality royalty, for their much anticipated return to TV is beyond thrilling,” said Rob Eric, Chief Creative Officer, Scout Productions. “They’re ready to bring their signature heart and quirk back to the fans and we look forward to telling their story.” While “Chrisley Knows Best” aired on USA network and was produced by Maverick TV, the new show does not have a network attached yet.

With 8.9 million participants in 2022, the number of new participants in pickleball exceeded the total number of pickleball participants in 2021.
