The striking WGA canceled picket plans on Saturday amid the NYC heat wave but plans for picketing Amazon’s Prime Day this week are moving full speed ahead. “We won’t let Amazon turn Hollywood into a gig economy with its Silicon Valley business practices,” said the guild, which has renamed Amazon’s mega sales event Crime Day, and also plans to picket Amazon Culver City Studios on Wednesday.
