Why is NBCU syndicated talker “The Kelly Clarkson Show” moving from LA to NYC for season five? Turns out, it’s personal. “My family is East Coast, they’re North Carolina based. The Writers Guild of America, on strike since May 2, is asking Tony Award-nominated members to not attend the June 11 ceremony. They are allowed to pre-tape an acceptance speech or ask a non-member to accept in their place. The ceremony will air, in a modified format with only awards presentations and show performances but no original scripted content, on CBS and Paramount+.
