Disney will start the first of three rounds of layoffs this week, said the company’s CEO, Bob Iger. A second round of cutbacks will take place in April and a third before the beginning of summer. About 7000 jobs will be impacted. “In tough moments, we must always do what is required to ensure Disney can continue delivering exceptional entertainment to audiences and guests around the world – now, and long into the future,” wrote Iger in a memo.

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced a multi-year, national agreement with USC Shoah Foundation—The Institute for Visual History and Education to assist with the recording of interviews with genocide survivors as part of the Institute’s Last Chance Testimony Collection Initiative, an effort to collect testimonies from the last living survivors and witnesses to the Holocaust and other genocides. Sinclair will provide its production facilities to film testimonies at its broadcast television stations around the US.
