Nick Cannon inked a deal with Debmar-Mercury to make a move to daytime, as host and co-producer of a talk show. Cannon, host of Fox hit The Masked Singer, got a taste of daytime as guest host of Wendy Williams’ talker this year, and said, “I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience.” Cannon will co-produce via his Ncredible Entertainment.

HBO took home ten trophies
at the 40th annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards. Half of the premium channel’s haul were for Vice News Tonight, canceled by HBO and set to relaunch on Viceland. PBS earned nine awards, and CBS came in third with six. For a complete list of winners, go here.

Acorn Media Enterprises and Sky NZ have partnered to commission New Zealand thriller The Sounds with all3media’s New Zealand production company South Pacific Pictures and Toronto-based Shaftesbury co-producing. Drama is set in a sleepy New Zealand town, where nothing is quite what it seems.

Barcroft Studios is set to produce Mind Yourself, a 10-episodee unscripted Snap Original series. Each episode will paint an intimate portrait of a young person experiencing or recovering from a mental health issue. Mind Yourself will be available globally in early 2020 on Snapchat’s Discover page.

Ant Anstead Master Mechanic debuts on the MotorTrend app on Thursday, October 10. Anstead, costar of Wheeler Dealers and husband of Christina Anstead (Flip or Flop), pays homage in the series to the 1930s Alfa Romeo 158 Grand Prix by building it from the ground up.
