The Late Late Show host James Corden extended his deal with CBS through August  2022. “James Corden has burned his way to the top of American television with a daring, energetic and inventive broadcast that stands out in the late-night space,” said David Nevins, Chief Creative Officer for CBS. “He is a host and performer whose considerable talents shine on every stage, and he has created a cutting-edge comedy factory with shows that have resonated across multiple platforms.” Corden took over the late night show in 2015.

Carrie Underwood will host the 53rd Annual CMA Awards, but she won’t be joined by Brad Paisley, her co-host for the last 11 years. Instead, special guest hosts Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton will take the stage. Twitter says it will no longer accept advertising from state-controlled news media entities, and is suspending nearly accounts believed to be tied to a Chinese disinformation campaign against pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. “This policy will apply to news media entities that are either financially or editorially controlled by the state,” Twitter said.
