Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Walking Dead and Lone Star Law were all hit with fines by the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau for “misusing” the Wireless Emergency Alert tones. “We remain concerned about the misuse of the EAS codes and EAS and WEA Attention Signals, or simulations thereof, to capture audience attention during advertisements; dramatic, entertainment, and educational programs, and at any other time that there is no genuine alert, authorized test, or authorized PSA about the EAS or WEA that is accompanied by an appropriate disclaimer,” said the FCC. Kimmel was fined $395,000, TWD $104,000 and Law $68,000.

Vice News Tonight, canceled by HBO in June, has found a new home on Viceland. “VNT is going to a wider audience as we bring it home to our television network and make it the centerpiece of a primetime block built off of the VICE news voice and sensibility,” said Vice Media news and entertainment head Jesse Angelo. “This bold move shows how much our company believes in this team and now it will have all the support and attention it deserves throughout the VICE ecosystem and beyond.”

Season eight of USA Network’s Chrisley Knows Best is on track, despite stars Todd and Julie Chrisley being indicted on charges including bank fraud and tax evasion. “We are getting back to work after this distraction and our show hasn’t been canceled,” said Todd Chrisley, explaining in an Instagram post that a former employee out for revenge used falsified documents to convince the U.S. Attorney’s office to bring charges.

Disney Junior‘s Mickey and the Roadster Racers will premiere its third season with a new title, Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures, and an updated version of the “Hot Dog!” song, on Monday, October 14 on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and DisneyNOW.
