CBS issued a series production commitment to The Lincoln Lawyer, the legal drama from David E. Kelley. Matthew McConaughey headlines the series as Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car.

Amazon boarded upcoming BBC West Indian drama Small Axe from 12 Years A Slave director Steve McQueen. The six-part series, produced by Rainmark Films (The Frankenstein Chronicles) explores the lives of a group of friends and their families living in West London from 1968 to 2014. Amazon will launch the series in the U.S., while it will debut on the BBC in the U.K. BBC Studios is selling it internationally.

Science Channel has partnered with Mount Sinai Health System to showcase groundbreaking innovations in science and medicine that are transforming health care. Made For Love, based on the novel by Alissa Nutting, is a dark comedy about divorce and revenge.
