NBCUniversal is expanding its relationship with Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a 10-year plan to redevelop an empty warehouse into two soundstages and offices. The new facility will be used produce scripted productions for platforms including broadcast and cable channels, and is expected to bring 330 full time jobs and have an economic impact in the area of $1.1 billion over a decade. The deal comes after a law was passed in March that offers a partnership arrangement for studios and producers that commit to do business in the state for ten years or more. Netflix announced last year that Albuquerque would be the site of its new production hub.

Cory Booker, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Rep. John Delaney, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Sec. Julian Castro, Rep. Tim Ryan, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Jay Inslee. The Tick creator Ben Edlund was unable to find a new home for his show, canceled by Amazon after two seasons. “I’m sorry we could not reward your glorious support with better news,” he told fans via Twitter. “I am so proud of the show, of the cast and crew and writers….We will look for other opportunities to continue this story with this cast, but the current series must I’m afraid come to its end.”

GMA’s Michael Strahan will host ABC’s Highwire Live in TImes Square along with Fox NFL Sunday’s Erin Andrews on Sunday, June 23 at 8p. Nik Wallenda and his sister, Lijana, seventh-generation members of the Wallenda family circus troupe, will attempt a walk of approximately 1,300 feet long and 25 stories above street level. The trek will be Lijana Wallenda’s first since the 2017 accident during which she, along with four others, fell 30 feet off a tightrope during a rehearsal.

Entrants for the Innovation Lions, the Lion for Change, and Titanium Lions will present their work to jury members as well as an audience, from today, June 17 through Wednesday, June 19. MGM Television has optioned bestselling YA sci-fi thriller Aurora Rising, written by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. The novel, which was published on May 7, is set in the year 2380 and follows the top cadet of the Aurora Academy and his squad of misfits and losers as they realize that the girl they rescued from hundreds of years of cryo-sleep may be the catalyst for a war millions of years in the making.
