The LA Pride Parade will be televised for the first time on KABC, which inked a three-year deal with nonprofit parade and LA Pride Fest producer Christopher Street West. This year’s parade is slated for Sunday, June 9; the two-hour live broadcast, 11a-1p, will be hosted by Raven-Symone, and KABC’s Ellen Leyva and Brandi Hitt. KABC also will air a preshow at 6:30 p.m. June 8.

YES Network will become the official regional TV partner of the WNBA’s New York Liberty this season. YES will televise 16 Liberty home games, beginning Friday, May 24 at 8p. CBS Sports Network also will telecast one Liberty home game this season, on August 23.

Taraji P. Henson is scheduled to testify in front of the newly formed Congressional Black Caucus Taskforce on Black Youth Suicide and Mental Health on Friday, June 7 at 9:30a. She’ll be supporting the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation’s mission to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness in the African American community and addressing the increasing suicide rate among Black youth. Henson and BLHF also will host the inaugural “Can We Talk? conference and benefit dinner in DC immediately following the hearing.

The L-Word: Generation Q is the name of Showtime’s L Word sequel, slated to debut this fall. The eight-ep series begins production in LA this summer, with Marja-Lewis Ryan (The Four-Faced Liar, 6 Balloons) serving as showrunner and exec producer, with original series creator Ilene Chaiken and original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey all returning. Kristen Campo also serves as exec producer. The pilot is directed by Steph Green, who also serves as exec producer on the episode.

The average A18-49 audience for premiere eps this season is up 56% compared with the season 3 average and has doubled the season 1 average. Season 4 of Complex X Fuse is also delivering the series’ most female (66%) and Hispanic (64%) audience to date, and a median age of 33.
