FX Networks snapped up off-network rights to Fox series Family Guy, starting with season 16 (2017-18). The animated comedy launches on FXX on April 16, and will air Tuesdays (9-11p), Thursdays (12-1a) and Sundays (7-9p), as well as on new corporate sib Freeform in once-a-week, hour-long blocks starting April 17.

Sara Gilbert, creator and exec producer of CBS daytimer The Talk, is leaving the show at season’s end. The mother of three and producer and star of ABC’s The Conners explained during yesterday’s show that she realized she could not “do it all.” The announcement comes seven months after Julie Chen left in the wake of her husband Les Moonves’ stepping down as CEO of CBS.

NBC’s The Voice is switching it up with a new round called the Live Cross Battles. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will each select one artist from their team to compete against an artist from an opposing team in a Live Cross Battle performance, with America’s voters deciding the winners. Live Cross Battles begins Monday, April 15 at 8p.

Sixty nominees for the Peabody Awards, honoring compelling and empowering stories in broadcasting and digital media during 2018, were selected from more than 1,200 entries from television, radio/podcasts. Meanwhile, the premiere date for Netflix movie Otherhood, starring another actress embroiled in the cheating scheme, Felicity Huffman, has been postponed. The comedy had been scheduled to start streaming April 26; Huffman pled guilty on Monday. High Fidelity, a drama inspired by the 1995 novel and 2000 film, is moving from upcoming streaming service Disney+ to Hulu. “As the series’ creative evolved, our Disney+ team, collectively with ABC Signature, recognized that the show would be better suited for another platform,” said Agnes Ghu, SVP, Content, Disney+. Disney’s recent acquisition of Fox assets gave it a controlling stake in Hulu.

Ellen DeGeneres (new season low 1.7, down -11%) declined with encore episodes, while Wendy Williams (1.5), Maury (1.4) and Steve Harvey’s Steve (1.3) held last week’s numbers.
