Netflix cancelled One Day At A Time, a Latinx-themed reimagining of the original Norman Lear sitcom. “We’ve made the very difficult decision not to renew One Day At A Time for a fourth season,” the streamer announced in a Twitter post. “The choice did not come easily – we spent several weeks trying to find a way to make another season work, but in the end simply not enough people watched to justify another season.” The series is being shopped to other networks.

Hallmark Channel has cut all ties with Lori Loughlin, following her arrest over an elite college entrance fraud scheme. Said Crown Media in a statement Thursday afternoon, “We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin, including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third-party production.”

Fear the Walking Dead’s copyright suit was settled ahead of the show’s fifth season premiere. The settlement the parties reached in the past few weeks is confidential. The suit, filed in federal court in June 2018 by comic series creator Melvin William Smith, Jr., alleged that big portions of Season 2 of the Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson created Fear The Walking Dead were lifted from his zombies at sea Dead Ahead comic.

Empire actor Jessie Smollett pleaded not guilty Thursday to a 16-count indictment accusing him of staging a hate crime attack on himself on January 29. If convicted, Smollett could face up to three years in prison.
