Bob Costas is leaving NBC after 40 years, in a separation that appears amicable. “It’s all settled quietly and happily for all concerned,” Costas told the New York Post. Costas, who said last August that he was considering leaving NBC Sports before his contract was up in 2021, has seen his role diminish of late. He was replaced as prime-time host of 2018 Winter Olympics coverage in South Korea and stepped down from the net’s Super Bowl LII pre-show after his comments linking concussions to football. “I have long had ambivalent feelings about football, so at this point, it’s better to leave the hosting to those who are more enthusiastic about it,” Costas told Sports Business Daily last year. Costas will continue working for MLB Network.

Snap CFO Tim Stone, the Amazon alum who joined the company in May, is leaving to “pursue other opportunities.” Said CEO Evan Spiegel, “Tim’s transition is not related to any disagreement with us on any matter relating to our accounting strategy, management, operations, policies, regulatory matters or practices (financial or otherwise).” Instead, reported the Financial Times, the move was in part the result of a “personality clash” between Stone and Spiegel. Stone’s departure is one in a string of Snap exit decisions, including that of Chief Strategy Office Imran Khan last September; Snap shares dropped 13% Wednesday afternoon.
