The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon is the first guest host set for syndicated talk show The Wendy Williams Show, as Williams recuperates from a fractured shoulder. The show, which has been in repeats since before the holidays, goes fresh February 4 with Cannon, who will host for three days. Distributor and producer Debmar-Mercury had previously said the show would re-start with guests hosts the week of January 28.

As Maroon 5 faces backlash over its plans to play the Super Bowl halftime show, the NFL announced the group will not take part in the pregame press conference. “Maroon 5 has been working hard on a Pepsi Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show that will meet and exceed the standards of this event,” said the NL. “As it is about music, the artists will let their show do the talking.” Some fans – including over 111,000 who signed a Change.org petition – believe the band should  skip the gig in support of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
