Jerry Springer plays judge in court show Judge Jerry, debuting in syndication in fall 2019. “For the first time in my life, I am going to be called honorable,” said Springer. “My career is coming full circle and I finally get to put my law degree to use after all these years.” Launched by NBCUniversal Television Distribution, the daily first-run program has been sold in 75% of the U.S. to station groups including Tribune, Sinclair, Weigel, Hearst, Cox, Raycom, Tegna, Scripps and more.

According to a New York Post report, Strauss Zelnick, CBS chairman and head of Take-Two Interactive, is a leading contender to run a merged CBS and Viacom. A source tells the paper when CBS completes its search for a permanent CEO to replace Les Moonves early next year, merger talks will begin.
