Facebook is jumping into the dating game. During his keynote speech at Facebook’s F8 annual developer conference yesterday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the social media giant was launching dating features – and it won’t be “just for hookups.” Chief product officer Chris Cox explained the concept stemmed from couples who said meeting their partner was the most important thing Facebook had done for them. So now, Facebook aims to connect couples in a way that is opt-in, safe, “and didn’t get in the way of everyone who wasn’t interested in dating.”

Apple posted quarterly earnings per share of $2.73, up 30% from a year ago and above analyst estimates of $2.67.
