And almost 30 million U.S. viewers saw it live over 15 networks, despite the early hour, up from the 23 million who watched the televised ceremony of Harry’s big brother William and Kate Middleton in 2011. Across the pond, about 18 million UK viewers viewed the proceedings, including an average 8.7 million viewers for five hours of coverage on BBC One. (Will and Kate’s wedding in 2011 drew over 19 million.)

USA cancelled Falling Water after two seasons. The supernatural drama averaged a soft 461,000 viewers in its first season, but was renewed thanks to a deal with Amazon. There was no saving the show after it dropped to 349,000 during its sophomore run, with 90,000 among A18-49.

A wiretapping lawsuit brought by Andrea Tantaros against Fox News was dismissed by a federal judge, who said the former The Five co-host failed to substantiate claims that, among other things, the network hacked her computer and spied on her in retaliation for alleging sexual harassment. “She fails to adequately make out the basic elements of her claims,” said Judge George Daniels of the plaintiff.

Netflix cancelled Friday’s LA premiere event for season two of 13 Reasons Why following the tragedy in Texas. “Our hearts are with the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting, and with all victims of gun violence,” said the streaming service. Season two includes a storyline involving a student’s plan to attack at a school dance.

The 77th annual Peabody Awards took place Saturday in NYC, honoring news, public service, documentary and entertainment programs. Receiving an award for Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, EP and showrunner Bruce Miller said to the many journalists in the room, “Please don’t stop reporting. Keeping working to make sure Handmaid’s Tale stays fictional. You’re doing God’s work.”

Nielsen is adding a live-plus-one-day viewing metric for local TV stations, available via monthly reports starting in July, and daily reports starting in September. The move follows ad association efforts to capture delayed viewing of local TV.

CBS did not hold its scheduled annual shareholder’s meeting on Friday, in the midst of its legal battle with National Amusements over NAI’s push for a merger with Viacom. “In light of the recent actions by NAI and the pending litigation…the Board will determine shortly a new record date for the meeting…The postponement will provide all constituents with additional time to consider all pertinent matters before the annual meeting,” said CBS. National Amusements said it “has no intention of forcing a merger.”

Whitney Cummings is leaving her post as EP/co-showrunner of ABC’s Roseanne reboot, handing over the reins to fellow EP-co-showrunner Bruce Helford. “Working on Roseanne was a surreal, incredible experience,” tweeted Cummings. “Due to work commitments and my tour schedule, I’m gonna have to watch the Connors from the sidelines next season. It was an honor to work with such an incredible group of actors, writers and crew.”
