CBS News correspondent Jeff Glor landed the anchor spot on CBS Evening News. Glor, who’s been with the network for over 10 years, was a lead anchor on the net’s streaming news service, CBSN, during its launch period. Interim anchor Anthony Mason will continue as CBS News senior national correspondent and co-host of CBS This Morning: Saturday. CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor will launch later this year.

A new survey from Beta Research said digital nets described as “favorites” include BBC America (19%), FX Movie Channel (19%), NFL Network (18%), Cooking Channel (18%), ID (18%), Nat Geo Wild (17%) and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (16%). Named “must-have” networks among viewers thinking of cutting the cord were NFL Network (72%), Science Channel (65%), Disney XD (65%), BBC America (64%), Velocity (64%), ID (64%) and FXX (64%).

After 6-month nationwide search, FX’s Pose will have the largest cast of transgender actors ever in series regular roles. Joining the cast of the Ryan Murphy show, which will look at the juxtaposition of different segments of life and society in 1980s New York, are MJ Rodriguez (Nurse Jackie), Indya Moore (Saturday Church), Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar (Mr. Robot) and Angelica Ross (Claws), among others. Murphy co-created the show with Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals.
