NBC released fall premiere dates for the 2017-2018 season. The Television Critics Association announced its nominations for the 2017 TCA Awards. HBO leads with12 noms, followed by FX with 11, Netflix with 10 and NBC with 7. The Handmaid’s Tale garnered Hulu its first TCA nominations with four in total. Competing for Program of the Year are FX’s Atlanta, HBO’s Big Little Lies, The Leftovers, Stranger Things, This Is Us and the Handmaid’s Tale. The awards are presented on Saturday, August 5.

In June, INSP announced a voting competition in which viewers got to choose one of the states featured in Season 2 of culinary travel series State Plate. On Tuesday, host Taylor Hicks took to his fan page on Facebook Live and announced the results: North Carolina. “Being one of the original 13 colonies, North Carolina has some amazing stories to tell about their culinary heritage,” said Hicks. Gloria Calderon Kellett, co-creator, EP and co-showrunner of Netflix’s One Day at a Time, inked a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures TV, the studio behind the reboot. Time Warner inked a $100 million development deal with Snap, reports the Wall Street Journal. The companies will jointly develop up to 10 shows a year, with Time Warner committing to purchasing ads on Snap over the next two years for HBO, Warner Bros., and Turner networks.
