James Comey’s televised testimony in today’s Senate hearing is airing live on ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, Univision and PBS, along with cable news and other outlets; some nets plan to air the former FBI director’s remarks without commercial interruption. Networks got a head start on coverage of the highly-anticipated event when seven pages of written testimony were released, at Comey’s request, yesterday.

Epix struck a deal with Honda that integrates its streaming video app in a connected car. “As vehicles evolve to become the ultimate mobile device, we are pleased to work with Honda to develop new entertainment experiences for second and third row passengers and pioneer this next chapter of streaming video and true TV Everywhere,” said Epix CEO Mark Greenberg. Rear-seat service in the 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan will be powered by Delphi Automotive and OpenMobile.

Dish Network was ordered to pay $280 million for making calls to phone numbers on “do not call” lists, violating telemarketing protection laws. The federal judge also included a 20-year permanent injunction. Dish said it “respectfully disagrees” with the decision and will appeal.

TNT is also teaming with Twitter, in its case for the series premiere of Claws, set in a Florida nail salon. Judge Judy (6.9 Live+SD average) topped syndication in the May sweep for the eighth year in a row. Dr. Phil (3.3) was the top talker, equaling its second highest May number since 2008. True-crime series Crime Watch Daily (0.9) grew 13% from its 2015 premiere, and shot up 60% in top market New York on WPIX, while renewed newcomer Harry (1.0) drew over 1.2 million viewers daily and clocked large time period increases in several metered markets, including 53% in Fort Myers, 175% in Tampa and 400% in St. Louis.

Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac grew from the prior week’s episode in all key demos, including 873,000 P18-49 (up +3%) and 2 million total viewers (up +5%) in Live+3 Nielsens.
