creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is teaming with Pat Rothfuss, author of The Kingkiller Chronicle book trilogy, to serve as creative producer of feature film and TV series adaptations of the fantasy franchise. There’s an option to be involved in future stage productions. Miranda is expected to compose the original music and songs, while Rothfuss is an EP for both film and TV. The plan is for Lionsgate, who landed the rights in fall 2015, to develop and produce the feature film franchise based on the trilogy, the first movie, and a TV drama that expands the world outside the books.
