Matt LeBlanc is heading back to host Top Gear under a two-season deal, with the first to air in 2017. “I am thrilled that Matt LeBlanc is returning to Top Gear. He’s a huge talent whose love of cars is infectious,” said Patrick Holland, Channel Editor, BBC Two, in a statement. LeBlanc will be joined by Chris Harris and Rory Reid, along with regular appearances by former race car driver Eddie Jordan and German pro Sabine Schmitz.

Seth Meyers is developing two comedy series for NBC. AP Bio, written and executive produced by Saturday Night Live’s Michael Patrick O’Brien, is about a former philosophy professor who teaches a high school advanced placement class and uses his students to get back at those he feels have wronged him. The other untitled series, written and co-executive produced by Late Night With Seth Meyers writer Amber Ruffin, is about a sibling singing group from the 1980s, now forced to write commercial jingles.

A&E Network has picked up Born This Way for a third season. The series, which won the 2016 Emmy Award for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Series last week, provides an intimate look at a group of young men and women with Down syndrome as they pursue their dreams and explore friendships, romance, and work.

The Season 3 debut of Empire remained on top as the number one entertainment program of premiere week among A18-49 with a 5.5/18 in L+3. The FOX series also delivered 15.1 million viewers in Live +3 ratings across multi-platforms, a 39 percent gain from its same day viewership. Additionally, the series premiere of Lethal Weapon delivered FOX’s highest fall premiere in two years since Gotham, garnering 10.4 million viewers in Live +3 ratings across multiple platforms.

Bravo Media is closing 3Q with the largest on-air and online growth in the key demos among the top 10 ad-supported cable entertainment networks. In 3Q to date, Bravo is up 2 percent in P18-49 (387,000), up 10 percent in P25-54 (461,000) and up 15 percent in total viewers (819,000) versus 3Q15 in primetime. Fueling the ratings success are 13 original series up season over season in total viewers, including Don’t Be Tardy (up 45 percent), Shahs of Sunset (up 22 percent), Flipping Out (up 22 percent), Below Deck (up 21 percent), The Real Housewives of New York City (up 20 percent) and Southern Charm (up 18 percent).
